Blackdown Growers, a family-owned business established in 1969 in Leamington Spa, spealises in growing and supplying a wide variety of baby leaves and herbs. Their freshly harvested produce is carefully picked and packaged without washing, ensuring a fresher and prolonged shelf life. Their items are chilled on-site in high-quality retail packaging within 24 hours of being picked.
The existing raised seed beds required removal and cultivation to enhance the soil's organic content and bolster its structure in preparation for the upcoming planting season.
AMTEC (formally Ellis Machinery) explored various options for a second-hand cultivator that would meet their requirements, and the standout choice was the Dalbo Supermax 300. With its robust heavy-duty subsoil legs and precision scalloped cultivation discs, this machine effortlessly tackled the clayey loam. The steel ring packer efficiently crushed the clods and reconsolidated the soil in a single pass.
We were delighted to receive an invitation to see this amazing Dalbo machine in action on their fields, an experienced captured in the video below.
