Job Title: Workshop Technician – Agricultural Machinery

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour of breaks per day)

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year, depending on experience

About AMTEC

With our strong reputation for reliability and customer service, we’re looking to expand our workshop team with a skilled workshop technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys hands-on experience with various machines.

The Role

As a Workshop Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural machinery. You’ll work on a wide range of equipment—predominantly cultivators and drills—ensuring each machine meets our high standards before it reaches the customer.

Key Responsibilities

·       Inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of used farm machinery.

·       Carry out servicing, refurbishment, and pre-delivery preparation.

·       Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

·       Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

·       Work collaboratively with the workshop and sales teams to meet deadlines.

·       Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.

What We’re Looking For

·       Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, ideally with agricultural or heavy machinery.

·       Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical diagnostic skills.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Organised, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

·       A full UK driving licence is required.

Nice to Have

Formal qualifications in agricultural engineering or a related field.

Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.

Familiarity with brands such as John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Case IH, or similar.
