Low disturbance subsoiler

Mzuri Rehab Low Disturbance Subsoiler

The Mzuri Rehab is specifically designed to provide maximum subsoil shatter with minimum surface disturbance. A winged point combined with deep cutting discs increases available oxygen and nutrients to promote strong and healthy roots.

The Rehab by Mzuri Drills can loosen the lower soil profile and improve water infiltration to encourage the fast establishment and deep rooting for the plants. The soil is well aerated which will speed up warming in the spring. By leaving soil surface undisturbed the previous crop residue is left intact on the surface to avoid using up large amounts of nitrogen.

As an optional extra, the Rehab can be fitted with a seeder unit which is ideal for drilling oilseed rape or cover crops. The individual coulters provide an accurate sowing depth and loosening the subsoil encourages a long and strong taproot providing the ideal soil environment for each seed. A 600mm row spacing gives better light interception which encourages vigorous plant growth and rapid healthy germination.

The Mzuri Rehab Subsoiler is part of Amtec's extensive range of farming and agricultural equipment that we offer.

Three-step process

  1. Cutting. Pivoting serrated discs mounted on spring-loaded arms slice through the surface residue, ensuring a lower disturbance to the topsoil. Consistent contact with the ground is achieved across field contours.
  2. Shattering. Shearbolt protected legs to maintain an accurate draft angle of the ground engaging parts for better control of shatter action. Each leg is fitted with a two sectioned replaceable point and wing, with a choice of wing width depending on the level of fracture required.
  3. Consolidating. A steel V-shaped packer directly consolidates either side of the cultivated area and closes the opening behind the leg, leaving a weatherproof soil structure without the risk of drying out.
