Can farmers still use red diesel?

Red diesel can still be used to power agricultural vehicles and machinery, as well as passenger, freight or maintenance vehicles designed to travel on rail tracks. Red diesel can also be used to heat and power non-commercial buildings and premises, as well as the machinery used in travelling fairs and circuses. Red diesel may be used to fuel marine craft operating in the UK with the exception of private pleasure craft in Northern Ireland.
